We booked a two bedroom apartment for my adult daughter and myself and my bedroom, especially, was huge! The view was beautiful and the availability of the little restaurant next door was very pleasing! The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and emailed me maps so I could find my way. I would definitely come back and stay here again.
The only thing I would say is that access is a bit difficult due to the location - the road is windy and in some parts accessible by one car only but that is the price you pay for a stunning view!

Borgo Sicelle is a beautiful holiday residence in the heart of Chianti, between Florence and Siena, perfect for any kind of trips to villages and cities in the area. Franco and his wife Sylvia were very helpful with any kind of question.
We stayed 10 nights in the beginning of September and really enjoyed our stay.

Point de vue exceptionnel sur collines de Toscane et vignobles du chianti. accueil très très agréable, hôtes discrets mais très attentionnés, ont organisé une mémorable soirée \"pizza maison\" très sympathique et gourmande permettant si on le souhaitait de lier connaissance avec autres vacanciers en début de séjour .Sylvia et Franco donnent des informations très pratiques pour les visites de sites culturels (réservation pour les musées faites par nos hôtes, plan des villes, indication pour parkings, adresse de producteurs, marchés locaux...). Gîtes très bien équipés ,frais et spacieux très très propres . très belle piscine donnant sur le point de vue de rêve et aménagement extérieurs conçus pour les vacanciers: barbecues, jeux pour enfants, transats de piscines et tables....Idéalement situé entre Sienne , Florence et San Giminiano. Paysages de cartes postales et villages environnants accueillants et pittoresques. Gites situés à l\'écart de village, très calme .Belle petite église romane à 2 pas pour balade le soir.
Attention la route d\'accès est assez endommagée mais reste tout à fait praticable!!

The place is even nicer than the pictures on the website. Surrounded by nature, it is peaceful and well situated, between Firenze and Sienna, to visit the Tuscany and Chianti region in particular. The owners were very welcoming and provided useful information. We would return without any doubt

Everything in Borgo Sicelle was perfect and I hope we will make another visit in future. The owner was very helpfull and gave us some informations about trips. The facility equipment was perfect especially for families with children, but also for couples or little groups. There was a pool, big playing room with toys, table football and big place with tables and chairs.
None, just wifi-internet was available only outside the apartment, but it was no such a big problem.

Borgo Sicelle is in an ideal location halfway between Florence and Siena. The views are spectacular, and the accommodations very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, a nice pool and a game room with ping pong table. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive. There are ample shops in the nearby towns.
The wifi connection was a little intermittent.

Highly recommend this hotel. The owner is very nice and helpful with tourist information. The one bedroom apartment was an upstairs unit, quite large with a full kitchen. Wish we would have stayed more days to enjoy the area.
The only negative would be that there really wasn\'t any restaurant nearby.

We were extremely pleased with the facility. We actually spent a day sitting by the pool and absorbed the landscape. Franco and Silvia are very friendly and helpful with suggestions of the nearby sights to see. They provided driving directions and best historical places to visit.

We were lucky, because every day was beautiful weather and we could enjoy of the beauty of the place and surroundings. Our vacation was very relaxcing, and we made only quite small trips to neibourhood. We hope to come back soon.

We enjoyed Borgo sicelle, not only because of the facility scenery and wonderfull area, but primarily thanks to Sylvia and Franco. They are the model for the perfect hosts, almost all day round available, responsive, assistive, pleasant, endless patience with all lodgers, what else can one expect. We used almost everything in the facility and found everything handy and usefull. We have prepared breakfast and dinner almost every day including barbecue and found everything needed. For instance the griller had the necessary tooling, cleaning materials, illumination switch and even a blower for the charcoal swift burning.
I would not call it a negative aspects, but improvement opportunities: 1. Install Wifi in every apartement, 2. Connect the shower head to a hose to ease showering. Now there is a fixed shower head.
The owners were very helpful with day trip suggestions. The location is absolutely beautiful. It is a perfect base for your holiday in Tuscany.

It\'s a very quiet location, but still very central for interesting sites for wine tasting, historical cities etc. There was a very informal and relax atmosphere. Liked the friendly attitude of the owners Silvia and Franco. They were not very prominently present (which is good), but always ready to give advises, help with the BBQ (for example making a very nice bistecca!), etc. We had a very nice time, and I really recommend Borgo Sicelle to everybody wanting a stay in the country side, enjoying wine and food, historical sites etc.
Not really. Maybe if you have the apartement on the ground floor, realise that if you have noise neighbours above you. You can hear them walking around. But that did not impact our positive overall experience since only one night we had such a neighbours. But don\'t get discouraged by this, because it\'s really nice at Borgo Sicelle. I just want to do honest reviews, so I must mention this, otherwise my positive comments mean nothing.

The staff is really wonderful. They make you feel at home, are extremely helpfull, friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings. They where happy to help us plan some of our trips in the surrounding area. The location is quit and remote (with only a winebar across the street, see friendly advice) but within minutes you are in San Donato or on the chianti route. The place itself has a lot of facilities, wonderful swimmingpool with amazing view. The room was clean, well equiped and quit large (and we had the smallest one).

Très bonne situation géographique pour découvrir les incontournables de la Toscane ( Firenze, Siena, San Giminiano...) ainsi que la région du Chianti Classico. L\'accueil des proprio est sympa sans être pesant. Très belle vue surplombant la campagne environnante depuis la piscine.
Nous avons regretté de ne pas avoir eu un appart de plain-pied et le bruit de quelques enfants surexcités dans la piscine...

Uncomfortable, impersonal living space - Ok for a family with small children but virtually no space for a family of four virtual adults to relax - We had no choice but to go out!! Glad we only stayed one night. Wouldn\'t recommend it. Sunbeds around the pool were plastic and uncomfortable. It didn\'t have a friendly community vibe.Everyone kept themselves to themselves - ODD!
Located only 30 minutes from Siena and 40 from Florence via the \"free\" motorway with local supermarkets and villages (San Gimignano, Poggibonsi)within a few minutes - Great! Above average accommodation overlooking the valley and vineyards with a wonderful pool and facilities - Great! Two wonderful hosts in Franco and Sylvia who are full of local advice and assistance whenever required. The group pizza night was very special and unfortunately our last night there - Fabulous!!
A slight negative is that the drive from the \"free\" motorway is only about 7 minutes long but it seems to take longer due to the narrow winding road. Be prepared for it, persevere it is well worth it!!

We were completely satisfied with our stay here. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the accommodation clean and relaxing. It\'s quite near to Florence, so if anyone has a car, we would definetaly recommend staying here and visit Florence or other locations. Kitchen is provided, so we cooked during our stay. It was lovely to go to the early market to get fresh vegetables and fruits that are grown locally. If you would like a real Toscana experience, we definitely recommend this place!!!

View from the pool as beautiful as any in Tuscanny. The owners, Franco and Silvia, are so gracious and helpful in every possible regard. They go beyond the beyond to make your stay the greatest possible pleasure. Washing machine, drying racks, iron, etc a must for us. Convient secured free parking. Lovely guests stay there, most from Europe. Many are regulars, as we intend to be!
We extended our stay to 20 days in June when we saw the beauty.The weather was glorious until the last 4 days, when the heat wave struck Italy. There is no air conditioning, so even with paddle fans and/or floor fans, it was a bit hot for us. The free WiFi was on a back patio, not in each apartment, but not a problem.

The \"Highlight\" of our trip in Italy was our stay at this property.Our highest praises to the most gracious hosts...\"Sylvia and Franco\". Both were extremly accomodating and the facility and the fantastic scenery were all above our greatest expectations. We thorougly enjoyed our first experience at staying at a Agriguriturismo Facility...5 Star for the both of us.
Absolutely none....we had prepared our trip with detailed maps of the area and the instructions from Franco made the journey from Rome extremely easy.

This was a great base for our explorations of the Chianti area of Tuscany. Franco was very accommodating, giving us recommendations for day trips before and during our stay. It was also very nice to have access to the two washing machines - they weren\'t too difficult to figure out. It was also surprisingly quiet considering there were other guests on the property.
Coming from California I was expecting a bit more in terms of wine tasting in this region and wish I would have done more research on this. Also, beware of the safety cameras all around Chianti while driving. It helps to have GPS so you know when you are approaching one.

The kitchen could have had more appliances and serving dishes as we liked cooking in at least once a day either breakfast or supper.
This place is perfectly located for touring Toscana. We had our best night sleep in Italy at this property, located alone on a top of a hill, offering wonderful views on wine and olive cultures. We used our kitchenette every day, well equipped with everything you need. Beautiful pool with plenty of space for all guests to relax in a private space. Best deal for the buck in our entire stay in Italy. We will come back for sure !
The only negative point: we should have stayed a week, instead of two nights only.
The owners were very helpful with maps, directions, etc. The views and relaxing on the patio out by the pool was so nice. We enjoyed being able to cook some meals and get to so many hill towns from our location.

Gazing at Tuscany from one side of the pool at Castellina in Chianti 45 never became old. Our hosts were a very warm and accommodating couple, who put their all into what they do. This was our favorite place to stay.

This accommodation was lovely and the owners were very kind. In fact, the house was even nicer in person than it seemed on the website. There was a pool, laundry, ping-pong table and small \"library\". We woke up to lovely panoramic views of Tuscany each morning. It is set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside near many vineyards.
I have nothing negative to say except that wifi would\'ve been a plus. The owners were kind enough to let us use their computer though.

The place was even better than the photos. We were welcomed by Franco and Silvia with maps of the area and suggestions of places to go. They even offered to book reservations for us! The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Each night after touring around we would come back to the place for a swim, make our dinner in the kitchen in our room and then eat it out on the patio by the pool while watching hte sunset - it was absolutely perfect! Lots of little wineries to visit in the area which was perfect!

Very helpfull and nice owners, clean beautifull pool, great view, nice bright appartments, a big pile of magazines avalible, spacious terrace, babybed and chair avalible, good hiking in the area, lots of infant-toys around.

Best value for money you can find in this region. Very beautiful location. Franco provided with all possible information about nearest places and markets. Every appartment has it\'s own terrace with a wonderful view.

Accommodations were great, Franco and Sylvia were very helpful. Franco gave us easy to follow directions to local towns and cities, including where to park, which bus to take to Florence, recommendations for restaurants and nearby markets for food, etc. Can\'t say enough about their hospitality.
Washing machines were available but no dryers. Clothes had to be dried on a rack in the sun (only a problem on rainy days)
Bajeczna lokalizacja, o co w tym regionie nietrudno, ale sympatyczny właściciel dobrze radzący sobie z angielskim, witający butelką wina i mnóstwem przydatnych wskazówek to już chyba ponad zwykły standard. Jedzenie w gospodzie obok po prostu fantastyczne - menu ustalane z właścicielem. Szczególnie polecam niedzielny wieczór (ciężko się załapać, ale atmosfera niepowtarzalna!).
Włosi chyba nie kochają zbytnio internetu - praktycznie nie miałem dostępu (nawet w hotelu w którym wcześniej się zatrzymałem) - ale w tych okolicznościach to nie problem, przynajmniej dla mnie.
The Sunday night pizza party offered by our host couple Silvia and Franco was a wonderful way to settle in and become acquainted with the other guests -- among them Dutch and Irish families with young children and an older Italian couple who\'d been coming there for years.
It\'s a hill top site, there are several levels, some stairs are steep and it can be challenging for the mobility-impaired.

Directions were very confusing as to location hard to find , there needs to be better signage and a map given when booking,unless you speak italian it is very hard to find,and a little out of the way to most of tuscanys hill top towns.A little pricey for location,,nothing around except a restaurant that isn\'t open all the time.
a big apartment for a very reasonable price. An location with a beautiful views and in an equal distance from Siena and Florence.

The owner was a wonderful host and the house and surroundings were wonderful. We made many day trips and had excellent experiences in the small towns and villages in the region. We bought our food at the excellent markets and had relaxing meals surrounded by the views of Tuscany. Great place to visit!
The kitchen was a bit sparse, but had all the really necessary things, including a mocha coffee maker. Internet access would have been helpful.

My travelling companion became ill during our stay and the owner and his son (who was visiting fortunately) were very kind and helpful. I really wish we had been healthier and could have spent more time here. We didn\\\\\\\'t see as much as I\\\\\\\'d hoped.
The site is very difficult to find so the owner meets you in town to lead you home. Since he doesn\\\\\\\'t speak English and I did not have a cell phone to contact him, we had a problem connecting.

Endroit calme, bien entretenu, avec une vue superbe, notamment de la piscine plutôt agréable. Appartement très propre et plutôt confortable. Propriétaires sympathiques, parlant anglais et un peu français, restant disponibles malgré un travail important. Emplacement géographique idéal au sein même du chianti, tout proche de Florence et Sienne
Appartement comportant 2 chambres spacieuses mais pas de salon, au 1er étage sans terrasse ni balcon ce qui reduit la possibilité de manger facilement à l\'exterieur (mais c\'est quand même possible au rez de chaussé). Cuisine propre mais assez petite manquant un peu d\\\\\\\'aménagement (pas de four ni de cafetière électrique, frigo un peu petit).
Site éloigné du village (5 kms) obligeant à prendre son véhicule pour faire la moindre provision.

Courtyard setting. Location - lovely views over the valley, especially at sunset. Well placed for local hilltop villages. Friendly & family run. The pool deck is immaculately clean and very welcome on hot sunny days.
Ceiling fans instead of a/c which sometimes barely kept the temperature bearable. Far away from the nearest village to make a car a necessity (Which can also be a good thing)
Good location, great views of Chianti hills. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Owners should consider offering a simple breakfast for visitors.
